The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Durham and Vicinity (IMA) is a group of concerned clergy from Christian denominations committed to serving God and the local communities respected by its membership.
That we may have a more effective ministry, the members of this body called the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, deem it essential to dedicate ourselves to cooperative Christian fellowship and to create and adopt the following constitution.
The purpose of this body shall be to create a growing fellowship and cooperation among the ministers of churches represented in this Alliance, thus enabling them better to serve their respective Church community, the general public and the mission of the Christian church. We are committed to the cause of Christ, preserving integrity, providing leadership in the community, empowerment for all constituencies in Durham and surrounding area and equity in access and distribution of resources for all community members.
We sponsor several community celebrations: the Durham Emancipation Day Service, the Durham Citywide Revival and the Seven Last Sayings of Christ.
